Welcome to Hooked on Cycling holidays and our cycling holiday which covers 4 countries. This biking vacation will take you from the Alps and then north to Lake Constance along easy cycle paths beside the River Rhine. The Swiss Alpine Rhine connects the mountains of Graubünden with Lake Constance. This tour starts in Constance, then you will travel by train by two alternative routes to the Alps. This train journey is a wonderful introduction to the fabulous scenery you will enjoy. Then you cycle through four countries, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria and Germany. The tour follows gently downhill alongside the Rhine on good quality paths. Enjoy the air dried Bündner meat, a Pinot Noir or whitefish and perch from Lake Constance on your arrival.

Day 1 - Individual Arrival in Constance
Arrival to Constance the largest town on Lake Constance, which still bears the stamp of medieval times. Check into your hotel and then explore this fascinating town.
Day 2 - Constance – Bonaduz, by train
You will take the train to the starting point of your cycling holiday; Bonaduz. You can also opt to travel on the Glacier-Express train. We will transport your luggage and bikes (rental and private) to Bonaduz . These will be available in Bonaduz in the afternoon. You have two options for the train journey. Lakeshore route:2-3 changes, departure every half hour, duration approx. 3 hours, normal price approx. €28 Mountain route:4-6 changes, departure every half hour, duration approx. 7 hours, 2 ¼ of which are on the Glacier-Express train from Andermatt to Reichenau-Tamins, normal price approx. €60
Day 3 – Excursions around Bonaduz
You have the choice of two excursions: a visit to the Viamala-Ravine or the Rhine ravine “Ruin Aulta”.
Day 4 - Bonaduz – Triesenberg, 35 miles 55 km
A wonderful day’s cycle ride today. The first highlight of the day is the old diocesan town of Chur, the gateway to Graubünden. You can either cycle through well known wine villages or take the easier route along the Rhine towards Triesenberg in Liechtenstein, where your hotelier will collect you and bring you up to the hotel situated at 900 m.
Day 5 - Triesenberg – Feldkirch, 16 miles 25 km
The day begins with an exhilarating descent, followed by the capital city of Liechtenstein, Vaduz. The it is cycling further north and into Austria. Feldkirch is only a short cycle on from Vaduz and is a well preserved town towered over by the Schattenburg Castle. Schattenburg Castle was built in 16th century by Count Hugo I of Monfortto secure the town and traffic heading through the mountain pass along the southern and eastern routes.
Day 6 - Feldkirch – Rorschach, 28 miles 45 km
Today you will cycle following beside the Rhine to Lake Constance. The delta here is an important wildlife and nature reserve. Cycling past the Hundertwasser market hall in Altenrhein. The multipurpose covered market hall with its very unique roof was built after the concept of the famous Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Later you will continue to cycle on towards Rorschach on Lake Constance. You are now in Switzerland again.
Day 7 - Rorschach – Constance, 25 miles 40 km
Today you will cycle along the lakeshore through well-kept little villages and apple orchards. You can then spend a relaxing evening on the harbour strip in Constance.
