This biking vacation in Greece explores the region around Mount Olympus on Mainland Greece not far from Thessaloniki, cycling up valleys and passes on quiet roads and trails .On this cycle tour you will be staying in guest house accommodation which is very typical Greek. This particular cycling holiday is a guided cycle tour based with a van supporting you during the day and transferring your luggage. As this region is a little hilly this cycling holiday is suitable for those with a good level of fitness. Our adventure combines the widest variety of landscapes in Europe; beaches, river deltas and marshes, lush forests and arid rolling terrain, mountain plateaus and alpine peaks. Long smooth ascents, wide mountain roads and fast descents joyful and pleasant, sometimes fast will give us the opportunity to get acquainted with this deeply traditional area, still unspoiled and rarely visited. We will also have the chance to get to know its people, their traditions and ways of living as they will be our hosts in the hotels and guest houses where we will spend the nights.

Day 1 Arrival Day in Platamonas
Day 2 Platamonas – Mesagala – River Pinios – Stomio - Platamonas 28 miles 45km ( 23km downhill )
Our cycle tour begins in Platamonas, first we will cycle through Mesagala and the river Pinios as we head along towards the sea, with an impressive backdrop the ravine of the Tembi valley and the Kissavos Mountains. We cycle up to the beach, where the Pinios flows into the sea and where the Greek Fishermen secures their boats. The animal and plant world in this fascinating river delta are unique. Here we have the opportunity to take a dip in the sea.
Day 3 The high plateau of Kallipefki (Kato Olympus) 30 miles 48 km
Our trip begins on the high plateau of Kallipefki, which arise by a former mountain lake. First we drive through the high plateau, to the opposite hills to cycle. Here we enjoy the fantastic view of the main massif of the Olympus with its highest summits and of the entire high plateau. The route leads us by old Kastanien and spruce and fir forests to the antique mountain village Paleos Panteleimonas, with a marvellous view on the Aegean sea, the old Castle of Platamonas and the Mount Olympus. After a coffee break in the old Kafenion of the village, we cycle to the mountain village Paleos Porus. On the way back to the hotel we will see in front of us the great Ocean.
Day 4 Rest Day
Today you can relax on the beach.
Day 5 Kranya – Kallipefki - Platamonas 28 miles 45 km ( 27km downhill )
Our tour begins at the old village Kranya, we will cycle to the next mountain village Kallipefki, you will be impressed by the view, the nature and the architecture of the old villages. Then we will cycle back to Platamonas. 
Day 6 The castle of Platamonas and the historical Dion 30 miles 50km
On our route today, we will visit the old Castle of Platamonas. After a tour of the castle we will bike to the coast facing us is Mount Olympus. We cycle to the historic village of Dion, where the first Olympic plays of the antiquity took place. Here we visit the archaeological excavations and the museum. Our route leads us to the typically Greek villages Vrondu and Lofos and at the river Pelekas along to the rest point Platanodasos - under the plane trees.
Day 7 Platamons – Panteleimonas – Skotina – Leptokarya – Litohoro.
Today we will cycle along the Olympic Riviera with view to the Mount of Good and to the Aegean Ocean. Our route takes us up to the Mountain village Litohoro where we can make a coffee break. After our break we will cycle downhill to Platamonas.
Day 8: Departure – transfer to the Airport
