Day 1 Individual Arrival in Constance

On arrival to Constance why not take the opportunity to visit Mainau Island (the flower Island), stroll through the Old Town of Constance or visit the aquarium of the Sea Life Centre and the Archaeological Museum?

Day 2 Constance – Schaffhausen 31 miles 50 kmBike vacation in Germany

Today you will cycle along the romantic Untersee region of the Lake through small fishing villages and the well known town of Stein am Rhein. The cantonal capital of Schaffhausen is towered over by the Munot Fort. The prosperity of the citizens is denoted by over 170 oriels.

The first highlight of the day is the Rheinfall Waterfall, which you will approach by boat. Today you will cycle through the Hegau region in the direction of the Danube. We recommend you take the train to Engen (ticket not included), a pretty town with an intact urban landscape. Today’s stage leads you through the steep, narrow Danube Valley which is relatively free of cars. 100m high rock-faces will accompany you along the route. Sigmaringen Castle can be seen from afar and to this day it is still owned by the Swabian Hohenzollern Family.
