Welcome to Hooked on Cycling holidays and our cycling holidays in France. This particular biking vacation in France is in the wonderful region of Burgundy. This cycling tour is based in the capital of the Burgundy wines, Beaune. On this bike tour you shall be located in a lovely central based 3 star hotel. Everyday loop rides from Beaune will allow you to explore the entire region at your own pace whether it’s the discovery of culture, nature or human heritage. You will experience the historical sites such as Hôtel-Dieu (Hospices de Beaune), Cîteaux Abbey, or natural sites such as small mountains, the flat natural area of Saône river, the cascade of Bout du Monde or the Ouche valley. The you have the vineyard landscapes of the Côte de Beaune and its famous villages such as Pommard, Santenay, Chassagne & Puligny Montrachet, Meursault to name a few.

DAY 1 Arrival in Beaune
Arrival in Beaune where you shall have a welcome meeting with our local representative.
DAY 2 Beaune - Beaune 29 miles 46km
Loop ride around the Cotes de Beaune area allowing you to visit famous vineyards such as Pommard, Santenay, Chassagne & Puligny Montrachet. In Meursault, you will have the possibility to have some wine tasting. You will visit the village of La Rochepot and its magnificent château. You will then return to Beaune, explore the town and some of its treasures including the Hotel Dieu (hospices).
DAY 3 Beaune – Nuits Saint Georges – Beaune 26-38 miles 43-60 km (with an option of the Visit of Cîteaux Abbey)
First you will cycle through the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits, via Corton and Pernand Vergelesses. Then on departure of the Hautes Côte de Nuits through Echevronne and reaching Arcenant, before you cycle down to Nuits-Saint-Georges. Here you can admire the valley and the beautiful panoramas. Afterwards you cycle back to Beaune by the flat rural area of the Saône river and the possibility of a looping ride to the Cîteaux Abbey.
DAY 4 Beaune – Bouilland - Beaune 23 miles 36km
You will cycle today through the natural green surroundings of Beaune, an area of outstanding natural beauty. In this green preserved valley you will have the possibility to have a gastronomic lunch. After a lunch stop you can cycle back to Beaune by the vineyard road.
DAY 5 Beaune – Vallée de l’Ouche – Beaune 38 miles 60 km
Today a longer ride to the North-East of Beaune, the Vallée de l’Ouche and to the l’Abbaye de la Bussière sur Ouche which has been transformed into a luxury hotel. Why not have lunch in this marvelous place with an air of serenity and well-being. Then you cycle back to Beaune through the woods and valleys.
DAY 6 Beaune discovery
This day is devoted to the discovery of the city of Beaune. Hospices de Beaune, or Mustard Mill (Moutarderie), and a choice of many wine cellars welcoming for the wine tasting, it’s up to you to choose.
DAY 7 Beaune – Ivry-en-Montagne– Nolay – Beaune 33 miles 52km
You will start the day by cycling in the hilly region, east of Beaune, with its unknown treasuries like romaine colon from 3rd century, a windmill or Château de Corabeuf (16th century). You will continue to cycle in the beautiful scenery of chaumes d'Auvenay and its green hills. Once you have arrived at the site of Bout du Monde with its cascade, you can stop for a picnic. Afterwards cycle back to Beaune via Nolay on a cycle track by the vineyards of the Cote de Beaune.
DAY 8 Departure.
