Welcome to Hooked on Cycling Holidays and our cycling holiday in France. This particular biking vacation in France takes you on a journey through the Vineyards of Burgundy. Burgundy is a fabulous region for a cycle tour , quiet roads , nice accommodation , many vineyards and domaines to sample wine and great gastronomy. On this cycle holiday in Burgundy you will cycle through some lovely typical French towns such as Pouilly Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Givry, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard and many more.
You will also benefit from the peace of the cycle track of the  Green Way and you will appreciate the natural beauty of this area while making stops in famous city of art like Beaune or Cluny.

Burgundy  Cycling holiday
Day 1 Arrival
Arrival in Mâcon. Mâcon is a lovely city along the Saone River. At your hotel you will have a welcome meeting with an aperitif at the hotel, explanation of the cycle

Day 2 Mâcon / Cluny 16 miles 25 Km
After the breakfast, you will join the “Green Way” a special cycle way built in  Burgundy which runs from Mâcon to Beaune. This day you will discover the Solutré and Vergisson Rocks which are located in the Mâcon Vineyards of the Mâcon-Villages, Saint-Véarn and Pouilly-Fuissé. the you will continue onwards through Berzé le Chatel and onto Cluny.

Day 3 Cluny
After the Breakfast, you are free to visit of the Cluny Abbey (guided visit every hour) which was the most important abbey in Europe from 910 to 1340… then free time in Cluny to explore this great town with many historic sites.

Day 4  Cluny / Cormatin 8 miles 13 Km
After the Breakfast, you will cycle on the “Green Way” in order to reach and discover  Cormatin with its marvelous castle from Louis the 13th period whicBurgundy  Biking vacationh is unique in France.

Day 5 – Cormatin / Givry 19 miles 30 Km
After your breakfast, you join the “Green Way” again . Later we are sure you will appreciate the lovely roman architecture in Malay, Saint Gengoux le National, Buxy and Givry

Day 6 – Givry / Rully 20km (13miles)
After your breakfast, you will return on the Green Way through the vineyards in order to reach Givry, Mercurey and onto Rully and its lovely castle.

Day 7 – Rully / Beaune 30 Km (19 miles)
The cycling continues through the vineyards by Bouzeron with the famous Aligoté Wine. You will pass Chagny, Remigny, Santenay and then the great Crus and finally Volany and Pommard to arrive in Beaune your final destination. Once you are in Beaune you must visit the famous Hotel-Dieu and the medieval city.

Day 8 Departure
After the breakfast, end of the tour.
