Welcome to Hooked on Cycling Holidays and our Cycling holidays in England. This particular biking vacation is in Devon and Cornwall which are two counties in the south western region of England, is available as a self guided tour. We have graded this cycle tour as a level 3 tour making the tour suitable for guests with some cycling experience. This cycling tour takes you around 203 miles of the national cycle network following dedicated cycle ways , country lanes and quiet minor roads. During the trip you will have half a day to visit the world famous Eden Project. The route will take you from Plymouth on the south coast , across country to the north coast of Cornwall , you then head west along the coast until heading south back to the south coast of Cornwall before the heading west to your final destination Lands End the most westerly point of Great Britain. Along the tour you will see typical English country villages and market towns.

Day 1 Arrive to Plymouth Arrive to the historic city ot Plymouth.
Day 2 Plymouth to Okehampton 40 miles 64km Today your cycle tour will start on the historic Plymouth Hoe on t he UK's south coast of Devon, you cycle north along the Plym Valley onto Dartmoor, visiting the old stannary town of Tavistock and then along the traffic-free Granite Way on Dartmoor to Okehampton. Okehampton is known as Devon's gateway to Dartmoor.
Day 3 Okehampton to Bude 37 miles 60km Cycling north from Okehampton through Devon's undulating countryside via the famous market towns of Hatherleigh and Holsworthy you will soon arrive at Bude on the UK's north coast of Cornwall. Time for a sunset swim on Bude's golden sandy beach!
Day 4 Bude to Bodmin 38 miles 61km Now you begin your westerly ride from Bude along the north coast of Cornwall with breath taking views of the ocean. You then cycle inland across Bodmin Moor, descending into the beautiful Camel Valley and along the traffic-free Camel Trail into Bodmin. Bodmin is a fine old Cornish town with pubs, shops and a steam railway.
Day 5 Bodmin to Charlestown 15 miles 24km Today is a short challenging cycle from Bodmin along quiet country lanes to the Eden Project. The entry fee is reduced as you have arrived by bike! Spend several hours exploring the humid and temperate biomes at this world class garden attraction. After you visit a short cycle takes you to St Austell and Charlestown, the charming 18th century port on the UK's south coast of Cornwall where you can find tall ships used as a location for many films.
Day 6 Charlestown to Hayle 52 miles 83km Today you cycle past the Lost Gardens of Heligan and then down to the quaint Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey. You cross Carrick Roads via the King Harry Ferry, past Trelissick Gardens, to the cathedral city of Truro. This area is full of some of Cornwall's finest gardens.
Day 7 Hayle to Land's End 23 miles 37km The distinctive engine houses of the old Cornish tin mines dominate the scenery as you cycle through the historic mining heartland of Cornwall. The cycle path follows along an old mining tramway. Visit the pubs, cafes and industrial museums of Redruth and Camborne. As you approach Penzance St Michael's Mount in Mounts Bay dominates the view. If the tide is out you can walk across the causeway, or take the ferry, to explore this fairytale island. Penzance offers the opportunity of a trip to the Scilly Isles. The last stretch to Land's End takes you through the famous Cornish villages of Mousehole, Lamorna and Sennen Cove. This cycling holiday finishes at Land's End, the UK's most westerly point.
Day 8 Departure Spend an extra night in Penzance if you wish.

How to get there By Plane To Bristol , Exeter , Newquay , Plymouth or London airports and then by train to Plymouth. By Car to Okehampton where parking is available and we transfer you to Plymouth By Train To Plymouth and return from Penzance. Private transfer from Penzance to Plymouth - £55 per person ( minimum 2 persons )
