Austria, which is well known for its mountains and its winter skiing has also a lot to offer in the summer for the leisure cyclist. Austria over the last few years has spent a lot of money on cycle tourism, developing a vast network of quality cycle ways suitable for families and experienced cyclists alike. The network throughout Austria has allowed us to develop some fantastic cycle tours in different Austrian regions allowing for varied experiences. One of these along the River Danube is now Europe’s most popular cycle way. The landscape along the River Danube between Passau in Germany and Vienna in Austria is spectacular with densely wooded hills, vineyards and fruit plantations. The region is full of culture with a long 2000-year-old history. The route passes through famous towns and cities with history in abundance, not forgetting the great hotels and Inns, which we use where you can sample the Austrian hospitality and superb cuisine. DANUBE TOUR. Level 1-2 cycling holiday along the Danube: a 7 night independent cycle tour.  This is the classic cycle tour ideal for experienced, first time cycle tourists and families. We use 3 and 4 star hotels along the way. The scenery and culture along the way is probably second to none. Over 90% of the route is on cycle ways. Following the route you will experience ever changing scenery, high tree clad hills on the first section to flatter fruit growing regions near to Vienna and of course superb historic towns and villages on each cycling day. DANUBE SPORT - Cycling along the Danube for experienced cyclists Level 2 cycling holiday along the River Danube: a 6 night self guided cycle tour This cycling holiday along the River Danube is for the more experienced cyclists. This tour usually covers the route in 7 nights but in this case, we do it in only 6 nights covering around 50 miles (80km) per day.
DANUBE BIKE AND BOAT - Bike and boat along the Danube River Level 1 cycling holiday along the River Danube: a 7 night self guided cycle tour. Imagine cruising along the Danube and each day cycling along its banks to return to your floating hotel at night. Starting in Germany you will cruise through Austria to Vienna along the Danube. You will then return by ship to Passau in Germany. This type of tour is also ideal for non-cyclists as while a cycling partner is out exercising each day you can stay on board, relax, and watch the day go by.

A fabulous boat cruise with cycling along the Danube, visiting 4 countries. Starting in Germany your independent cycle tour will cruise through Austria to Slovakia and its capital Bratislava. You will then continue along the Danube into Hungary and onto Budapest. You will then return by ship to Passau in Germany. Each day you will have the chance to cycle along the Danube cycle way.
SOUND OF MUSIC Level 2 cycling holiday in Austria: a 7 night self guided cycle tour. This tour takes you around the famous Sound of Music region of Austria. You will navigate around ten great lakes by bike. This is a wonderful circular tour with stunning mountain and lake scenery. When cycling around the lakes the route is generally flat but between the lakes, the region is a little hillier.
VIENNA TO BUDAPEST – Cycling along the Danube Level 2 cycling holiday in Austria: a 7 night self guided cycle tour. Following the Danube this independent tour continues further east from Vienna, into Hungary and finishes at the great Capital Budapest. The trip takes a short excursion into Slovakia and the capital Bratislava. This is a tour of contrasts. With ancient historic cities a long the way and mystic swamp lands along the majestic Danube, the Hungarian lowlands and the wonderful farmer’s villages along the route. It is a cultural and nature experience to remember. The tour is generally flat but with some short hills in some sections.

This biking vacation is ideal for those sporting cyclists t hat like to cycle in longer stages. During this independent cycling holiday, you will visit three countries. Your tour will start in Constance on the south shore of the Lake; you will cycle to the famous waterfall on the Rhine at the town of Radolfzell before continuing clockwise around the Lake via Friedrichshafen, into Austria and Bregenz before entering Switzerland and back to Constance.

TYROL TREASURES Level 2 cycling holiday in Austria: a 7 night self guided cycle tour. This independent tour is based at a lovely 4 star hotel in the Zillertal Valley in the Tyrol region of Austria. Your base location is Fugen where the Zillertal valley joins the Inn valley. Here you can cycle up the beautiful valleys never more than a gentle incline on purpose built cycle ways. Along each route, you’re surrounded by high mountain views of over 2400m. As this tour is a fixed location, it does mean that you do not have to cycle each day you could maybe try out one of the marked walks in the area, go rafting or just relax and admire the views.

INNSBRUCK TO SALZBURG Level 2 cycling holiday in Austria: a 6 night self guided cycle tour. Once in Innsbruck you will follow the wide valley of the Inn River passing little historic cities like Wattens, Hall or Schwarz. On both sides, you will see huge impressing mountain ranges and sometimes you will even see a glacier. Cycling into the Zillertal valley along the little mountain river will be nice and easy. The landscape changes a little bit because you have softer mountains where you can see farmhouses high up the mountain. At the end of the valley, you will see the glacier of the Alps where you can ski all year round.
